In this post we thought we would share with you parts of the design process for one of the spreads in the most recent edition of BNP Paribas Securities Services OneUK online magazine. We will focus on one of our regular features in the magazine ‘Team talk’. Starting with concept sketches, we give you a snap shot of the various stages that went into creating the final layout.
In November 2012 our print partner Pureprint started beta testing the HP Indigo 10000 digital press and have placed an order for a second one which is due for delivery in August 2013. This new technology has enabled Studio401 to offer B2 large format, striking print quality and the ability to run personalisation across multiple versions at virtually no extra cost. Studio401’s long-term print partner Pureprint has announced its agreement to be one of the two British companies to beta test the new HP Indigo 10000 digital press, driving the development of this highly productive, versatile press and spearheading the introduction of new applications, not previously addressed by digital printing.
The launch of the new B2-format HP Indigo Digital Press is significant as it takes digital print deeper into the production mainstream. The 10000 press will be able to offer our clients cost-effective print solutions on shorter print runs for projects such as folders, packaging applications, brochures and posters. The press also offers the same personalising capabilities as the current smaller format Indigo 7500, with the benefit of the B2 sheet sizes. With the reduction of environmental impacts over the traditional litho printing processes, Studio401 are very excited about this new press and the benefits that we can offer to our clients. The press is due to be fully operational to our clients in early 2013.
Studio401 recently launched the London Olympic edition of the popular online magazine for the staff of BNP Paribas Securities Services. This edition features a custom made retro hurdles game so staff can compete with each other and climb the BNP Paribas leaderboard. Fastest time so far 12.55 seconds! Studio401 have recently finished designing ‘ONE UK’ a new digital online magazine for the leading French bank BNP Paribas. As well as designing the layout of the magazine we were asked to create a bespoke user interface with a view to making the navigation of the magazine and all back issues as user friendly as possible. All pages are media rich, fully interactive and feature custom animation. BNP Paribas are delighted with the results and we look forward to working on future issues.
